We used to send out messages and posts to all of the various social networks we were connected to. Wow! The time it took to send them out, one by one.

And to think about the different times of day we wanted to post them – it was a hassle, to say the least!

Save a Bunch of Time

Nowadays, who doesn’t want to save time? We’ll probably get another vote on making life easier and more simple. That’s where HootSuite comes into play. It’s a way of organizing your social presence across all social networks, on one platform. It works great with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube and more than 35 other popular networks.

Without Hootsuite, especially when you send out several posts a day, it is much more difficult because you need to tediously go through each article or promo and post it individually. However, with this program, it makes sending out information much more doable.

What we’ve done is written a whole bunch of articles, adding the pictures and links. Then, set up a time and day for each one to launch.

Doing it in bulk not only saves us a bunch of time, it also helps us connect with our audience at the right time.

Here’s an example: You need to post a promo for office supplies. With Facebook, “the highest click thru rate is Monday thru Friday, 1 to 4pm with Wednesday at 3pm being the peak,” Joff Redfern, LinkedIn’s VP of mobile products. So all you need to do is set the post to go out between 1pm and 4pm and you’re done.

Engage Your Audience

Hootsuite is a great way to engage audiences as well. When you open up the program, you’ll see all your accounts organized in columns. You will be able to see what’s going on as well as a column that shows the posts you will be sending out.

What’s great about it, is that you can watch conversations people are having since it’s live and at any time engage the audience instead of going to each separate social account.
